Only from experience packing them, the Quasar, is really, a good harness-container. Excellent construction and good looks. I've been told, they do well in Free-fly situations. Those I've tried on, were quite comfortable. See if, you can try someone elses at your DZ. A 'test' jump would be good. Chec-out the 'Gear Reviews' here at DZ.com.

there are a lot of second rate containers out there that are cheaper than first rate containers. the quasar 2 is second rate. It probably wouldn't kill you, but why go second rate?

The most expensive rig is not necessarily the best. Nor is the least expensive the worst.

I don't know how many brand new rigs you have seen side by side for comparison, but the best build quality is not found on the most expensive container, even though its quality will be high also.

It is very difficult to buy a poor quality rig these days.

How many jumps did you put on a Quasar before you decided it was "second rate". All rigs "probably wouldn't kill you", but they are all capable of it.

Your opinion would probably have more credibility if you had a name.

The only one I have packed was a very nice looking container, and all of it's components seemed to be ship shape ie. riser covers, bridle protection, pin protection (pin protection seemed to be a bit better than most mainstream conatiners w/ the odd shape of the main pin flap).

That being said, I am not a rigger, nor have I jumped one of these rigs so I can't comment on worksmanship or comfort. It looks good and packs good though.
