Reginald 0 #1 February 14, 2009 I’m not a grammar Nazi but if I see one more person confuse “mute” for “moot” I’m going to go postal! Moot ~ unable to be resolved (i.e. it doesn’t matter any more) Mute ~ unable to speak (i.e. he is deaf and mute) Proper usage: The point is moot. He is a mute. Improper usage: The point is mute. Okay now I can sleep. Unless the bad dreams come back again, and again and again. "We've been looking for the enemy for some time now. We've finally found him. We're surrounded. quade 4 #5 February 14, 2009 I know, we all supposedly took basic English in school, but realistically, unless the person you're bagging on is a professional writer, cut them some slack. People are in such a rush to type replies they fly right over mistakes. I personally have an issue where, if I'm typing really fast, I have a tendency to transpose letters. Anyway, most of this crap falls on deaf ears anyway, so a lot of times the point might as well be mute.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
