Since there is no world beyond dz.com, the word was first used on Sep 29, 2002, at 3:05 PM by MC208B. Mike was a Caravan fixer from Beaver Oaks, Oregon. However is this instance it was a term of endearment for a jump plane.

It wasn't used as a derogatory term until Dec 25, 2002, 1:01 AM by SkySlut while commenting on instructors gouging students and his similar past experiences in financial services. Very little is know about Skyslut other than they were into Swooping, RW, and BASE. *

Since that time it has been used almost 200 times for many various insults.

As for the reason it is so fun to say it is the shhh sound. It reminds people of a sexy librarian telling them to be quiet.
