nomal2day 0 #2 January 23, 2009 "Once a jolly swagman?" AKA "Waltzing Matilda". The Aussies will teach you; great fun at the campfire and lots of beer and swaying around and crashing into things while giggling hilariously and; er, well, I guess you get the general idea... 'To fly is heaven, to freefall is divine' 'You only need 2 tools. WD40 for when it doesn't move but should, and duct tape for when it moves but shouldn't'

Nightingale 0 #4 January 23, 2009 Most of the folk stuff from the 60s and 70s is pretty accessible if you know D, G and A, and sometimes a C and an F will get thrown in there or an A7. you don't even need the F bar chord, you can use the cheater F. When I go camping, I've got a binder that has songs from Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, and a lot of the stuff from around then, and I threw in some of the easier stuff from later on, and most people know at least 80% of the stuff in the book, so it makes for good sing-alongs. I've got a Little Martin travel guitar that goes almost everywhere with me. This website is a good place to start your own binder. http://www.azchords.com/ The chords aren't always right, but they're a good start, and you can usually find them in easy keys. Just make sure you've got a good capo so you can get the song in the right key for you to sing.

Belgian_Draft 0 #9 January 23, 2009 www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMwWOqXWaSk Check out some his other vids. I've learned a couple tunes pretty quick by getting the chords online (such as az) and then watching these videos since you can see both hands in most of them.HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. lippy 918 #13 January 23, 2009 At Eloy for the Christmas Boogie, one of the super-cool packer chicks names Suzie played a song to the tune of 'Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys' But Cowboys was replaced by Skydivers. It's a GREAT campfire song! "Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be skydivers Don't let them be bellyfliers, freefliers and such; they'll turn into beer-drinkin whinos and sluts Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be skydivers They'll never stay home, gone to the dropzone, doin that thing that they love!"I got nuthin

I was so disappointed that "More than Words" is Extreme's popular song, their others are so much better. "He Man Woman Hater", and "Play With Me (used in Bill and Ted's excellent adventure)" are kick ass songs."If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane.
