tmaricle55 0 #3 January 22, 2009 I like to attach (staple) mine (bracelettes) to my log book with my jumps. Nice way to keep them. (For Jay who might add his own nouns!) skymama 37 #8 January 22, 2009 A perverted friend, who wants to remain nameless, suggested that maybe you're wearing it because it was your first boogie or maybe that's where you got your first piece of "skydiver tail". Is one of those the reason? I swear it's not me, I'd never say "tail". chaoskitty 0 #9 January 22, 2009 I can't wait to get those things off. They're ok at boogies but don't look so nice with business suits.
TaylorC 0 #10 January 22, 2009 friend of mine wore one for 11 months after the boogie to get free registration at the next one haha
micduran 0 #11 January 22, 2009 I can hardly keep those things on during the boogie, let alone for 5 months. Yes, you are strange.Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

BillyVance 34 #13 January 22, 2009 Yeah I don't care much for those bracelets. ksudiver87 0 #14 January 22, 2009 ha no it wasn't my first boogie or 'skydiver tail' . And it's the lamenated kind so it's not rotting paper It's just fun to look at daily for memorable jumps rather then flipping through the log book. Thanks to the jumper wearing his for 11 months..i'm not alone!! all i wanted ~Always do stupid things safely~
buff 0 #15 January 22, 2009 Yes it's weird but that's why we like you. Someone from our DZ wore theirs for a year and I know Robe & Timmy still have their CF08 bands on. Maybe it's just a Kansas thing, like sniffing your canopy. It's called the Hillbilly Hop N Pop dude. If you're gonna be stupid, you better be tough. That's fucked up. AllisonH 0 #16 January 22, 2009 I took my last one off the second day of the boogie. The only thing you needed it for was the free beer I wasn't going to drink, and they always bother me when they get squished under the spandex forearms of my jumpsuit. I do, however, have a collection of 3 or 4 of them on the lateral of my rig. Those I just leave there until they fall off.

skittles_of_SDC 0 #18 January 22, 2009 5 months might be a little much but I don't think you are weird like everyone else seems to. I always wear mine for extended periods. I had my boogie bracelet, allergy bracelet, and hospital info bracelet on for like a week after I was out and the boogie was over. I finally took them off, because I got a new hospital bracelet. That also stayed on for roughly a week even though I was in and out in about 2 hours.
cocheese 0 #19 January 22, 2009 Why would you increase snag points and shit on your rig? To the original poster: I think bracelets are gay if worn more than 5 minutes after the boogie.

Ok, you asked for my 2 cents, here it is: Wearing a boogie bracelet after the boogie is over says to me that this person is a low timer is trying to act like they are trying to impress other people because they went to a boogie. It's like those people who do one tandem and they wear a closing pin necklace all the time. Sorry if that's a harsh answer- I don't mean to hurt any feelings- http://3ringnecklace.com/
poe62 0 #22 January 22, 2009 I personally wouldn't do it, but I have friends who wear their pit bracelets from concerts weeks after the fact or even hospital bracelets. If it makes you remember something that made you smile or meant something to you, then go for it. I don't think it's weird, but I have a strange desire to cut them off of people who wear them (kind of like the trail dust tie thing). If you see me sneaking near you with scissors, be prepared to run. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity

tigra 0 #25 January 22, 2009 Wearing a hospital bracelet after you've been released is a sign of an attention whore, IMO. Hey- look at me! I was in the hospital! Summerfest goes over two weekends every year and I normally only have a few days off. I register during the first weekend, go home and to work during the week, then come back for the 2nd weekend. When I have to wear the bracelet at work, I tell people I am on a day pass from the nut house!
