Nope, but I was wondering if it was steered in manually or using GPS coordinates. Those ships are big, but $3 million is a lot of dough. I'd hate to land it in the drink.

Looks like a whole new market for all the makers of parachute cargo delivery systems.

my question, how did they get on the boat in the first place???

if i were a captian of a ship thats going thru there, we would be armed to the teeth and i have no problems just going full throttle and blasting guys that try to forcefully take my boat. (once it was identified that they were hostile)

Lots of stories on the internet about modern day pirates.

Why ships don't carry arms, non lethal defensive methods, what naval forces can do, who fund the pirates, etc.

I read in the paper today that the getaway boat capsized and 4 or 5 pirates died. Now, that's karma!

Personal theory - if I was going to send $3m to someone
that I didn't like, I'd want to be able to find them later.
Hence, the inclusion of a waterproof GPS tracking
device right in the middle.

Implanted tracking devices are pretty standard everywhere
else. I'd say that the money can be found.
(It would have been more fun to find it with the pirates later)

If I was one of them, I wouldn't trust my (so called) mates - they are Pirates after all (spread the dosh less ways!!)


Also a GPS tracking device could be messed with by putting into a simple metal box ......
