hardest thing I have ever had to do

Recommended Posts

Well maybe not the hardest, but right up there.

I have not been on this site in at least a few years (well at least not posted, I have been lurking a lot).

This is an open apology to certain people that meant a lot to me in the past and I know that they were friends to me and I really let them down in a big way. You know who you are and what happened.

From the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry and ashamed to my actions and have thought about it everyday for the a long time. I make no excuse for my actions and the things I did.

I allowed myself to go down a path that I never imagined I would and as a result I turned into a very awful person. You were my friends and I took advantage of that. There is no excuse for the way I acted and the things I did.

Maybe this wont mean anything to the people concerned, but you are some of the best people that ever came into my life and I can not say sorry enough. It has taken me more then a few years to "fix" my problems and get back to a point in my life where I can hold my head up again, but you are still in my thoughts and I carry so much guilt for the things I did.

Please just know that I was NOT myself and I am open to any communications, no matter what they are. If you want to yell, scream, cuss, curse......whatever, you can contact me via PM and I will give you my new contact info.

I dont expect forgiveness. I dont expect to be allowed back in your lives they way that it was in the good times. But please know that I am truly, truly, truly sorry for the allowing myself to become the complete asshole and whatever other nasty name you can come up with.

You all where and are people that I love. People that put themselves out there for me when I needed you and you got the worst from me in return.

For lack of a better word...... I was "sick". I allowed myself to become "sick" and I allowed myself to ruin some of the best friendships that I have ever had.

I know just writing this is not enough to make up for anything, but it is a start. PM for phone numbers if you want to talk and maybe we can start to heal. I am sure there are many things you would love to say and I am ready to take what ever you may have to say.

but you are still in my thoughts and I carry so much quilt for the things I did.

Quilt?
Is that fruedian slip? A la "oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive"
Have you been weaving quilts?

Ah, anyway I hope you are on your way to recovery and I hope you can not get sick again.

I remember you here and I'm pretty certain we have met. I have no idea what happened to you in the past but I hope you can get things straightened out. New friends are good but sometime old friends are the best.

Probably Dublin '06, he's friends with Psycho Bob.

New friends are good because they know who you are.
Old friends are good because they know who you were.

If you can maintain the old ones then you must've done soemthing right.

I would guess Dom is working on fixing that.
I hope they give you a chance to prove you're worthy again, Dom.

Yup, I'm still in Texas and Morgan is doing great as well. Life has really turned out well for me thus far and really makes me appreciate everything that has been bestowed upon me.

Are you working for Velocity Sports now or just a strong supporter?

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been jumping recently, but I know that many times life happens. At least the sport is still here and should be here for the near future in case you want to jump again.

Are you still in California or did you end up moving out somewhere different?

All I remember was that you dropped off the radar sometime around 06 and was having some problems. A lot of folks, including myself, were having problems at that time. There were a few burnt bridges for a few of us although we had the best intentions. Every now and then life throws you a curve ball, but you have to keep on swinging.

I guess I should change my profile. I am living in NYC now. Can you say Culture shock!? Not really. I am actually enjoying it. Just need to get adjusted to the cold. All the natives are laughing at me because this is just the beginning of the cold stuff. I'll adjust though. I spent 3 years in Germany when I was in the Army. I think I can handle it.

The whole not having a car thing is weird thought. Just couldnt see paying 450.00 a month for parking. To easy to take the subway.

Z-hills wasnt the best place for me. That is for sure, but my problems started before I got there. I kinda used Z-hills (or tried to) as a fresh start, but somethings just dont go away with a new location, they may even get worse.

Maybe if you're lucky you'll end up in the Cash Cab at some point.:P Well, I do imagine that it is a bit of a different life style in NY, but hopefully its everything you want it to be.

A lot of us have had tough times in our lives and will continue to have problems as life continues. Bridges get burned, feelings get hurt, but people get over it and friends will still be there when you return to being you.

I keep thing about that. What do ya think the odds would be though. I saw a minivan cab the other day and tried to hail it even though I didnt need one. I think that is the plan, see a minivan cab and hail it till I find the right one. lol
