skybutterfly 0 #28 April 6, 2002 i went to a laser light show that was choreographed to "dark side" and it was so incredible. you recline in these comfy chairs and look up at a concave ceiling that seems to swallow you...the lines dance to the music, forming images and designs, and it was truly an intense experience...gave me a whole other appreciation for the album. if you ever get a chance to experience it, don't hesitate. smokin' a lil' something-something beforehand doesn't hurt either... dayle 0 #29 April 6, 2002 Floyd is one of my Favourite Bands!!! Although I'm too young to see them when all of them were together, I did see the Division Bell tour, sans Rodger Waters and a couple of years later saw Rodger Waters.Pink in concert is absolutley amazing. best concert I have ever seen.DayleMy sole intention is learning to fly!!! kallend 2,027 #36 April 8, 2002 When I was a graduate student in Cambridge (UK) in the mid '60s I slept over at my girlfriend's apartment most weekends. On Saturday mornings we would usually be woken up by a local "garage" band practicing on the next street. Guess who they were?
Skymonkey13 0 #37 April 8, 2002 I've seen Pink Live 5 times and it was the best 5 concerts i've seen. What was really cool was that in 94 which was the last time i seen them i took my son to see them and it was his 1st rock concert. We had 2nd row center seats and the first 13 seats in the front row all had back stage passes and they never even sat in their seats for the entire concert so it was the same as having front row seats. This was the only concert i've been to where security was on the ball and did'nt let anybody get in front of you unless the showed their tickets so that was way too cool. Like i said, it was my sons first rock concert and he thought the concerts the old man went to were probably some old farts who could'nt even spell rock much less be able to rock. The warm-up band consisted of 3 folk singers playing acoustic guitars. And man did they suck. Half way thru their set my son looks at me and says "So this is what you and your friends call a ROCK CONCERT ?" I responded by saying F*#K-NO!!!! the concert has'nt even started, these guys are just tuning guitars. He says well let me know when the concert starts and i said "YOU WILL KNOW WHEN IT STARTS". After the intermission all the lights went out and when the 1st note started blaring over the massive sound system i looked at him and all he said was "OH F*#K". After that night he has never ever said my friends were old farts and me and him relate on an entirely different level. The only bad thing is that now he will never see another concert that stacks up to that 1st one and being up front for Pink Floyd only comes once in a lifetime. But at least now he knows that the old mans generation knew/knows how to rock. It's fun to listen to him when some of his friends are talking about how some concert they went really rocked and he tells them they don't even know what ROCK is untill they go to a concert with the old man. internut

rhys 0 #46 January 2, 2009 their best compilation album is relics, the best songs from a saucer full of secrets and piper at the gates of dawn, The best cover album is 'the 'Dub'of the moon' fuck I love that album. anything 'after' the wall is kinda weak in comparison toi the earlier albums! muff528 3 #47 January 2, 2009 A group of us from Phoenix/ZHills went to see 'em at the old Tampa Stadium. Great show and a great time had by all. My ticket stub says May 5, 1994. I vaguely remember that they had to keep the laser show low because of the proximity to TIA. I especially liked the spotlight shift on the large ball on the 50 yd line revealing a crescent moon on the other side of the stadium. Also, Betty at ZHills always kept a steady flow of Pink Floyd piping through the PA system.......that is when she wasn't playing "Achy, Breaky Heart" TP
