Jumpervint 0 #1 December 18, 2008 I know what you're thinking, but I'm talking snow. It started snowing yesterday about 7:30 and now has set an official record of 17" in 24 hours and it's still snowing. It might stop some time this afternoon. Schools are closed - I get to stay home. Probably worked my last day of the year yesterday, as winter break starts tomorrow and they won't get the roads cleared by then. Sure is pretty. Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again." AggieDave 6 #5 December 18, 2008 Last week we got a couple inches of snow, today its foggy and 67F outside. I could go for another snow day, it was enjoyable. You can KEEP your 17" of snow, though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Jumpervint 0 #8 December 18, 2008 Yep.... the alarm went off this morning at 5:30, just like usual. I called the district snow line, listened to the 'closed' message, and went back to bed. I have been thinking of you Cindy - they say it's supposed to stop snowing early afternoon. They should get the roads cleared shortly after that don't you think? Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again." If you knew jumpervint, you would know it would have been 4 1/4 " 4 times, but given his age it would be over several daysBy the way, I just finished 4 hours of shoveling to get ready to go to work, fortunately they called Cindy and told her to stay home. We have close to 30 inches total now. I would be glad to send some to AggieDaveDoc"We saved your gear. Now you can sell it when you get out of the hospital and upsize!!" iluvtofly 0 #14 December 18, 2008 There's a pleasant little warning for me going on right now. Tonight we're supposed to get a couple inches of snow then it's supposed to change to ice and get a couple inches of that. Should be a fun shift at work tonight. Ice=lots of business. Jumpervint 0 #15 December 18, 2008 Fine talk for someone who has a year's prescription for Viagra. If it weren't for that (and Cindy; she's such a hottie!) where would you be? I'm just starting shoveling, even though I didn't have to work today. Drive safely, Ed.. . . . . "Make it hard again." Jumpervint 0 #16 December 18, 2008 I have a student teacher who is just finishing her practicum and has taken a job at North Texas U. In denton. She's leaves here on 1/1/09. I could have her bring you some snow - we're bound to still have it then. Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again." AggieDave 6 #17 December 18, 2008 Load up her Uhaul with snow and send it our way. We had fun making a snowman and watching the neighborhood kids playing in the snow when we got our little bit. Denton gets snow every couple of years and ice more often than that, so I'm sure she wouldn't mind passing it along and not keeping it. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
