For me there's alot of things I could do but don't.

Usually it comes down to:

Time - What may take me all day, might take an "expert" with the right tools less than an hour.

Money - By the time I buy the tools, (go cheap or quality and hope they're used again) take the time to prepare for, figure out how to do the task, and do it. There's a certain amount of time I've "wasted."

Motivation - I HATE repetetive tasks. Cooking. cleaning, lawn care, etc. It's so unfullfilling because even if you do the best job or a half ass job you're gonna have to do it again and again and again. It also has alot to do with who is effected. Tasks that for the most part only effect me are way down on the list. However once someone else is involved or effected the whole priority changes.
