Vectracide 0 #1 October 29, 2005 I am looking to add some lead to my skinny ass and need some direction to the tired and true styles and manufacturers. I'm not sure if the belt is better than the vest or vice versa. I am looking to add up to 25 lbs, in 5 or less lb. increments. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate..... BillyVance 34 #2 October 29, 2005 Not sure which is better than the other. However, the best set up I've ever seen was weight pockets sewn into the back rest of a container, so that when you sit in the saddle, you don't feel the burden of extra weight on your body."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
diablopilot 2 #3 October 29, 2005 Belts are really nice in that they don't change the way you rig fits you much, and are easy to get rid of if you have to in a hurry (i.e. land in the water). I wore up to 30lbs in a belt for the season last year. I think I'm going completely without weight this year.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Mattias 0 #4 October 29, 2005 Eat more, Pizza, beer, crisps...? If you want something that fits well I was going to suggest sleeveless chainmail, not very adjustable in weight (or price) but it is comfy and it might get the ladies swooning_______________________________________ What goes up, must come down... jerry81 10 #5 October 29, 2005 This page has some interesting stuff. At least to me, a cutaway system on weights seems like a good idea. It's a German company, although most of the page is in english as well...

If I were you I'd get a belt but if you want a vest, I have 2 for sale for a friend. I'll put them up on classifieds under "misc". rm

I had this conversation with J.C. a couple of days ago and he said the same thing. Do you think it might be a trend?
