guppie01 0 #26 December 16, 2008 QuoteMaybe my marriage just hasn't gotten to the point where I need to get away from him yet. There are marriages that unfortunately do lead to that mentality... however I feel in my case it's not b/c I want to get away from my love (I can't wait to see him each day), I just naturally have always liked my space and having my quiet time - it's especially difficult to have quiet time when you share 1100 sf of living space between 2 adults, one teenager, and 2 cats. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" turtlespeed 220 #27 December 16, 2008 Quote I just had a nice arguement with the woman. For the record, she is a self admitted slob. She likes having "stuff." If not for me stressing how much I hate it, there would not be a horizontal surface in the house that didn't have something on it. We are selling our house to buy a little house on a big lot. The house is perfect for a HUGE addition that I can do on the cheap. I'd install a giant master bedroom, giant master bath, walkin closet, very large kitchen and 2 other good size rooms that would probably be a game roome and (this is where the arguement comes in) a den for me. I just want a spot in the whole house where I can drop my gear, have my own computer, desk and shelves without all her craft clutter and purse stuff strewn about. I want to hang my jumping pictures and be able to hang my clothes somewhere civilized, instead of the laundry room, because she has both of the master bedroom walk-in's full of her clothes. She says I'm selfish and that I already have the garage and shed to myself. Dont other people in the worl kind of have their own den or study to themselves? I's not like I'm going to be deadbolting it. You are about to lose points by not having your own room and double that for even asking this question. As you said, you already gave up a closet to her. HOW MUCH CAN SHE POSSIBLY ASK FOR?I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
Twoply 0 #28 December 17, 2008 It's not so much to get away from her, just for occasions where I really want to watch a movie and not listen to the dishwasher running. When I want to work on a project where things are scattered around the room. and I dont want to clean them up so we can pull the van in.
