NWFlyer 2 #5 December 15, 2008 Sniff. Our little boy's all grows up! I remember a 60-jump wonder at the 2007 American Boogie lamenting the fact that he couldn't figure out how to exit a Skyvan successfully (and being thrilled when he finally learned how). Of course, that successful exit also included my helmet exiting my head, but that's another story altogether. And now, just look, you're doing 16-way "night" jumps for your 500th! Too bad you couldn't join us in the formation. Congrats, Fozz! "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. grannyinthesky 0 #8 December 15, 2008 Congrats, Fozz! That's quite an accomplishment. If I can ever get water training, in a few more jumps and a few details like written tests, I'll be qualified for my B and C. But a D in the time you did it. Wow!!! Fozz 0 #9 December 16, 2008 Pat Skip the B and take the C save $20 (you still have to take the B test, but don't bother paying for the license) I did my water training at LP with LivinDive (Dave Todack) I can't really swim well, so it was really REALLY hard/nerve racking for me. I made sure the were a bunch of rescue swimmers (3, 1 in the water and 2 on the dock) just in case I panicked (I didn't and I did it twice just to make myself think it through and relax) Its really nice to NOT have a job, and HAVE the money to jump. I've been very lucky. I plan to get a job in the new year though John Fosgate "In the end, its always best to choose the hard right over the easy wrong." grannyinthesky 0 #10 December 16, 2008 Yeah, I know I don't actually have to get the B, just be B-qualified. I seem to miss water trainings by a little fairly often, but I will get it done. I swim pretty well and like water, so it's just being in the right place at the right time. Don't get that job too soon, or get one where you can take time off. lol I am still planning on being in your area in March and I would like a jump or two while I'm there. Again, congrats on your accomplishment."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490
