to lisa, I might need some flowers tomorrow. i go to the hospital for more MRI's and a transesophgeal echocardiogram in the morning. hyperbaric docs think I had a massive shunt from right to left in my heart. took a bad hit diving deep gas at work in the wee hours of wed morning before thanksgiving.

my feelings are gonna be hurt if I can't hang out with the fishes any more

10years and some change diving commercial. I didn't want it to end like this...I'm at the top of my game. unfortunately I cannot defy the laws of physics forever...eventually it comes time for every deep sea diver to polish the hat one last time and place it up on the mantle.

they can repair a shunt but I don't think that I will elect for heart surgery to keep diving.

I will just have to figure out a price where i'm willing to settle, for not being able to hang with king neptune and his people

I should be aiiight though..million times I should have taken a hit and I never folded.

all kind of shit went south in high seas. I ran to close on the table I was on, they couldnt get me on the boat, i had a really long surface interval before I got pressed back down in the chamber then that got fucked up a little too..

we were batting 1000... could have been worse though I might have died LOL!!

took a really bad typeII cutis marmarada with some lymphadema to boot my whole upper body was a purple bruise... I didnt suffer for too long though we caught it in time I got relief almost instantly when I got pressed back down in the chamber...

longest ride ever I thought i would never get out...

I am completely and utterly devastated.

I cannot dive anymore without a heart surgery to repair a PFO.

I love my job, I love the ocean, I am very good at what I do, I was at the top of my game and the peak of my career.

all of that is over with now...

my boys did the best they could under the circumstances, but it was not good enough and I got trashed...

I'm so sorry you're hurting. I went through the TEE stuff to look for a patent foramen ovale (PFO) last year. Scary.

I don't know what to say, except I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you can come to a decision that will ease your mind and heart.
