Hmmm.

His dicking around trying to save a prop distracted him and caused him to flare late. Notice the crappy roundout and touchdown?

Feathering the prop may actually do more damage than leaving the blades normal. (They are going to take more force to bend when feathered since they are edge on to the applied load -- translates to damage to crankshaft/engine/engine mount.)

IMO his actions to save airplane parts put him and his passenger at increased risk, he might need to reconsider his priorities.
