DustyP 0 #1 November 12, 2008 thinking it was goin to be the fucking shit.... and it is. but, the iMovies suck's some big major technological dick. I heard so many say good things about the MacBook. So I was as BestBuy and figured is was going to do everything I ever wanted with it (photo/video editing wise), and bought it. But that seems not to be the case. It's the most basic shit known to any video/photo editing software. Not saying i don't like the product as a whole but some shit gangster ass..
tkhayes 348 #2 November 12, 2008 wow, tell us how you really feel. Personally, I love my imac and macbook. does everything I need it to do and very simply. and it works. If you want a complex video mastering application, then you have to spend the $$ on expensive video mastering software.
quade 4 #3 November 12, 2008 It's strange that they changed iMovie the way they did. iMovie used to be one of the most intuitive noobie editing programs on the planet. Anybody could use it. It wasn't powerful, but certainly powerful enough to edit "The Blair Witch" project if it came to that. This new version does, indeed, suck ass. That said, for a couple of hundred bucks, you can pick up Final Cut Express and it's one of the best non-professional products around.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

faulknerwn 38 #5 November 12, 2008 Actually you can go to the apple website, and if you have the new version of imovie installed on your computer, you can download the old version (the good one) for free. Its way more powerful than the newest version...

Tink1717 2 #10 November 17, 2008 Go here: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imovieHD6.html Get Imovie 06. You can also get plug ins for it at : http://www.geethree.com/ I work for Apple. I will check on the issue with Final Cut. I know of no reason if or why Final Cut can't be put on a Mac Book. It is true that Apple left out fire wire support on the Mac Book ( why they did this no one seems to know). There are, however, adapter cables that will allow the use of fire wire devices.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway...
