shropshire 0 #1 November 2, 2008 QuoteMcLaren's Lewis Hamilton became the youngest world champion in Formula One history by the skin of his teeth after a nail-biting Brazilian Grand Prix. The 23-year-old Englishman's title rival Felipe Massa won the race in his Ferrari but Hamilton grabbed the fifth place he needed at the last corner. A late-race rain shower looked to have cost Hamilton the title when he dropped to sixth after a stop for wet tyres. clicky Well done lad (.)Y(.) DeNReN 0 #2 November 2, 2008 Glad it was too windy to jump today and I stayed home and watched the race... I asked you before not to give away the race winner in thread titles as some people tape the race to watch once home.... Is it too much to ask??? And too boot...your thread title is wrong...Massa took todays GP.....Hamilton took the championship.

jakee 1,500 #5 November 3, 2008 Crazy last few laps! I was watching in disbelief thinking McLaren had somehow found a way to lose it all in the dying moments yet again. Quality finish thoughFeel very sorry for Massa's engineers and family who thought he'd won it and were celebrating for 30 secs until Hamilton crossed the line in front of Glock... I was literally on the edge of my chair watching! What an exciting finish to a great season! Now we have to wait until next year, which is just one more reason to hate winter! What a strange season it will be next year, with the new rules for the cars and tires, and so many old races falling off the calendar. That, however, is another thread! Pokerstar 0 #9 November 3, 2008 Say what you will about Bernie (complete Basterd?) and Max Mosley (nazi retard?) the F1 season did come down to an exciting end. How much of that was maniupulated by very uneven application of the rules, it's hard to speculate, but there were some very suprising panalties applied throughout the season. I think that we did see the a few stars begin to emerge, such as Sebastian Vettel. The BMW team made huge inroads for a while, but they were eclipsed by hte huge leap that Renault made at the end of the season. What will be next year? Who knows, but I do know that I will be watching, and probably cussing Bernie under my breath because there aren't any races in the USA anymore.Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber. --- The Dude ---
mrwrong 0 #10 November 3, 2008 I think it was quite interesting that Torro Rosso managed to get their shit together when Red Bull wasn't able to do it....
