do yall believe in ghosts??

Recommended Posts

My dogs woke me up one night late,,
I could hear the lil ol lady next door talking to them, she used to give them bread and snacks,, they weren't barking a warning bark or anything so I told them to be quiet,, the next morning we found the lil ol lady had died the day before.. no lights on in her house so we figured it was before sunset... Think she just wanted to tell the dogs goodbye,,
I used to have those "can't move" dreams often as a kid,, if I could relax through the scary part, I could then "fly"around the neighborhood... I haven't had one dream like that since I started skydiving tho... "dang"
Some interesting shit for late night campfires.. Keep us updated on the haunted house trip!!

I used to work in an old hotel that had been refurbished back to the style that it was. It was a very cool place. Anyway, I cannot tell you how many guests mentioned to me that they saw a woman in an old blue dress wandering the halls. Apparently this lady has been seen there for many years. I can honestly say that I never saw her. However, the fact that it was brought up so many times by people who would never know eachother, made me believe she existed.

Dogs know; they bark! Technology knows; the telephone rings right after someone dies and there's no one there.
I've seen my dad (have YOU?) for the past 15 years hanging about anywhere I've moved. He watches out for me.
Maybe your dogs just don't know these spirits?
(okay..I'll DO it...)

man.. i've had so many weird things happen in my house and in others. i dont know that its necessarily ghosts but i do believe there's "supernatural" things out there. you know that feeling you get when you're in a room and it just seems to get deadly quiet and its almost as if the air itself gets heavy, and the hairs on the back of your neck stand on edge, and you feel that cold pocket of air pass by you? i've had that feeling quite a few times. We are being watched, by what, i dont know but as long as no actual harm comes of me, i dont really care. i find it fun and interesting. :)

I'm shooting video. Why do you think I'm taking the Sunnyone? Besides, I don't know where it's at. Seems everyone around here knows about it but me. I didn't have that 'sheltered' of a teenage life...>:(

I'm not a believer. I'm a skeptic.

I think that when people want to believe that the cause behind an unexplained occurrence is paranormal, they'll "find" the evidence.

For instance, how many times have you had a phone ring and heard no one there, and no one died shortly beforehand? You thought nothing of it. Same thing happens and then you find out someone had in fact died, and now it's the spirit using the phone. Just how does the spirit world interface with the telephone system, anyway?

And dogs, dogs alert and bark on all sorts of things. When you DON'T find out that there was a dead person around, you think little of it. When you DO find out that a dead person's proximity was involved, you say, "ooooh, it must have been the dogs sensing the dead person's spirit."

I think it's hooey.

I'm as eager as anyone else to encounter a ghost and once and for all find out whether to believe in them or not -- and as open to it as I've always been, I've never had a paranormal experience of any kind.

ok so yesterday i scheduled an apt for a pesticide company to come out and look around. yuck...i hope theres nothing creepy and crawly running around my house[:/]

will and i came home tonight about an hour ago to find 3 dogs hiding in the living room, underneath an end table. the other 3 were under our bed and still wont come out (and its not an easy task for a 200+ lb dog to get under a bed)....something's spooking them. i dont neccesarily believe in ghosts..but i dont disbelieve. i just wanna know what the heck it is freaking my dogs out!!!! >:( i cant get a good night's sleep lmao. ive heard ghost stories like everyone else, and ive had those 'something's watching me' feelings on more than one occasion..especially in this house. but i still cant bring myself to believe that some spirit is wandering the halls. who knows....FREAKY!:)
Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

I used to work at an old hotel and at least once a month someone would complain of a small boy about 10 or so playing with a ball in the halls at all times of the night. I never did see it either, but it was always the same story from the guest!:)

Well, recon mission one went well. We located the hospital and drove around some of the current grounds. It now sits in an industrial park so there's a lot of activity around. There are 4 cemetaries and we managed to find one. It appears to be the old one where all the strange stuff happens according to what I've read. most of the gravestones only have a number on them and are very small. There were a few that had been replaced with more modern markers that did indeed have names on them. There are 3 other cemetaries around that we did not immediately find so more research is in the works. And no, we did not find the elm tree from the stories where A. Bookbinder supposedly lives. ;)
Ghost hunting anyone?

My roomate has a ghost. His cat will always get weird when it's in the room. I know it's crazy but I have witnessed almost the same thing, but it is the cat running up and down hallways (instead of dog), jumping at things, it's fricking bizarre!! i have also seen the chair rock back and forth for no reason, cabinets open...animals DO sense it. :S
We believe it is his brother's spirit (he passes away suddently of a heart attack years ago...)
do do doooo dooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a story that my mom told me when I was growing up. It happened to her when she was about 12 years old back in the 50s.

My mom's family moved into a new house when she was 12 years old. The first day they moved into the house, they saw blood spots all over the floor and trash all over the place. In the fireplace, there were medical syringes and burned pieces of money. My mom did not feel good about the house at all, but my grandparents just figured that it would be fine after they cleaned it up. A couple of weeks after they moved in, my mom was sleeping in her bedroom. Something made her suddenly wake up. When she opened her eyes, she saw a figure standing in her doorway. She thought it was her uncle, so she kept saying "What do you want? What do you want?" The figure didn't speak or react to her. It started walking into the bedroom, somewhat stumbling. It stopped right at the foot of her bed and fell right on top of the place where one of the blood spots had been. My mom screamed and my grandmother turned on the hall light and the figure vanished.

That's some seriously freaky stuff.
I'm so funny I crack my head open!

That's simple. the cat gets stoned on catnip and then enters the room...My cat used to do the same thing...;)
btw in addition to mine and Sunshines recon mission above, I've located cemetary #2, the one that the stories make reference to A. Bookbinder. More later... :)

Not yet, but I do know where it is. First side road we took. Gravel road on the left behind one of the businesses. There were people out and about so I went right instead of left.
