That was my guess, possibly to extract someone from a jet boat that is about to crash. It also appears to be some sort of flotation device.

Not something I'd ever want to need to use. Much better than skipping accross the water at 200mph. I guess it was to much trouble for the seller to do a search on the manufacturer.

They (he/she) have already yanked the listing. After I posted this they must have been bombarded with opinions.
