drdive 0 #3 October 28, 2008 Yep - classic "I will send you a checque for x dollars above your asking price to cover my fees", etc. The check will be worthless, and they have your rig. Tell him to F-off."We saved your gear. Now you can sell it when you get out of the hospital and upsize!!" "K-Dub" "
downwardspiral 0 #4 October 28, 2008 It's 2008 almost 2009 so anybody who requires they pay via check is likely a con in my opinion.www.FourWheelerHB.com
millertime24 8 #5 October 28, 2008 Not always. I dont have a PC at home and cant get to pay-pal from work. When I sold my canopy I sent it to Paragon Rigging (near where the buyer lived), they "oked" it, and he sent me a personal check. Once that cleared the canopy was his.Muff #5048
downwardspiral 0 #6 October 28, 2008 Of course there always exceptions but having a Rigger act as a middle man is the best way to go regardelss of method of payment.www.FourWheelerHB.com

Bmore_chrissy 0 #8 October 29, 2008 It's totally a scam - I got the same email for my ad. I forwarded to abuse@dz.com. How long does it normally take to be posted as a scam?
PsychoBob 0 #9 October 30, 2008 Hey Matt, I think that might be one of Taters scams except he didn't ask for you to send 5 cans of sardines and an order of Tambos fried potato logs!
