GaryRay 0 #9 October 15, 2008 that makes sense for being on the ground or something, but what about in the sky, my only thought is that its on a pole or something. am i working along the correct idea, and if that is the case, how do you keep it from bouncing around and vibrating at a distance of approx. 5' from his body.JewBag. www.jewbag.wordpress.com
shropshire 0 #10 October 15, 2008 I have no clue - but I'm sure someone on here can fill you in.... Those shots do look good though, don't they? (.)Y(.) Chivalry is not dead; it only sleeps for want of work to do. - Jerome K Jerome
new 0 #11 October 15, 2008 Thank you folks for the positive reply !!! Quotemy tiny mind is not grasping how the hell you did that, what type of photography trick did you use? That's not a trick, it's a normal work flow for a photographer/panographer ... but to do this from a tandem parachute it's a total adrenaline rush ;-) I used for this shoot a normal Canon 400D D-SLR with a Sigma 8mm/F3,5 lens on a special homemade bracket (nodalpointadapter) and a normal monopod. Also I used a cable release and lot's of tape. Here are some making of pictures from this jump: http://mitglied.lycos.de/pano360/makingof_skydiving.jpg Have fun ;-)
GaryRay 0 #12 October 15, 2008 ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it all makes sense now, you had a midget on a pole taking the pictures :P. good job dude, and now that my mind isnt as dense i can feel better about myself. another possibility was tandem crew doing a blind man :P.JewBag. www.jewbag.wordpress.com

livendive 8 #14 October 15, 2008 Yep, it gives a great picture of skydiving, in more ways than one. On the surface, it's all "blue skies", i.e. puppy dogs and rainbows. But if one looks a little closer one can also find a little bit of the dark side of this sport. For you jumpers out there... click your mouse at the center of the screen and hold the button down. While holding that, move the cursor to one of the top corners...then to the bottom corner of the same side, then back & forth between that top & bottom corner. I'll just say it reminds me of something I prefer not to see very often, and may very well induce nightmares for some of you. Overall, very entertaining. Thanks for sharing! And it's the perfect visual aid to alert all my whuffo friends and coworkers to what they're missing. You geeks out there know any way I can make it keep moving and use it as a screen saver?OrFunV/LocoBoca Rodriguez/Sonic Grieco/Muff Brother #4411 -"and ladies....messin with Robbie is venturing into territory you cant even imagine!-cuz Robbie is
