How dumb are you?

Preface: I'd worked every day the last 9 days, all hours of the day and night for a grand total of about 100 hours. Also this mall has a let's just say interesting layout with a JC Penney's in the middle. http://www.shophanesmall.com/shop/hanes.nsf/mall_map
And cute salesgirls. They distracted me. :)

I hate the mall. Absolutely dread it. I worked at one for a year or so and I now have a lifelong hatred of malls, Christmas and the crass commercialism they represent. However, they do have their purposes. I needed new shoes as the "piece of crap" shoes I bought prolly 4 years ago for around $40 were falling apart. :P So finally off the hellish work schedule I decided to hit the mall after work. I drove my convertible and since it was nice I locked the glove box and the trunk but left the top down.

After going into Foot Locker, seeing their prices, thinking it must be a joke and looking for the hidden cameras I went another place and got another pair of $40 shoes. New Balance, if you care. My shopping done I decided to walk around the mall, check out the video games, the Halloween costumes, etc.

So having had my fill of all the evil the mall represents I go out the door and head to where I parked. No car. I look an aisle left and right and see nothing. This was strange for me because I usually have "car radar" and practically go right to my car. I look a few aisles over each direction and no car. I look at the entrance and remember the loading dock off to the right where I turned so I go up and down the aisles from there. No car.
I start to get worried. Did someone steal it? It's a fun car but it's older and seen a lot of use. There are much better cars here. Then again it was a convertible with top down so they could snag it pretty easy. [:/]

After going up and down the aisles for about probably 30 minutes I decide to get mall security involved. Thinking I might be just missing it or not looking far enough, getting an "I'm an idiot, I lost my car" ride might help.

So I traipse back into the evil mall and ask for mall information. I get directed to the customer service desk at Dillards and ask them if they can contact mall security for a lost possibly stolen car. The ladies at the desk were very helpful asking me where I came in. Luckily I remembered going in the video game store right at my entrance.

The minute I said that she said, "That's on the other side of the JC Penney's."

Realizing my error I turned about 9 shades of red and thanked them profusely. She offered to give me the number to mall security but I decided if I needed it I'd come get it. I walked away audibly cursing and deriding myself. Anyone who saw me probably thought, "That guy is nuts already and we still have 63 days till Christmas..." :o:D

Once out the right door I found my car relatively quickly I was a few aisles off but I'm sure my "car radar" was just frazzled. :)

I turned my teeth blue. Yup, blue. Not a pretty shade for teeth. So, I was in San Fran at one of my favorite Raw Vegan restaurants, Cafe Gratitude. They sell this delicious fair trade, organic blueberry rooibos tea. I drank the stuff everyday for two weeks. And, turned my teeth blue. Food grade hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, crest white strips, etc, I'm still not stain free. I'm going to the dentist on Monday.
