Who's single...

Recommended Posts

... and whats your excuse?

As for me, I have yet to find someone worth my time. Getting really sick of the two months and out relationship rut I have fallen into for the past 2 years.

I'm single too...

For a few reasons:

1. I'm very selective
2. The girls at my school are way too high maintenance and some not worth my time
3. Girls will always be there, so i'm not too worried about a relationship right now
Puttin' some stank on it.

Ok, I can actually give a serious answer now and then, so here goes.

I'm single because it's going to take a lot of time before I get into my next relationship--not because I'm feeling hurt or bitter or otherwise damaged from the last one, but because I'm going to do it differently.

First and foremost, the next woman I have a relationship with will be a truly close friend. The kind of friend who knows and accepts me as I am--the good, the bad, and the ugly and chooses to have me in her life. That doesn't happen overnight.

I'm not going to waste my time or anyone else's by "putting my best foot forward" or pretending to be either someone I'm not or pretending to be the person I would like to become.

The flip side is that I will accept and love her as she is--the whole package--all or nothing.

Beyond that, I want to be with a truly amazing woman--one who I could write a book about.

Is all this asking too much? I honestly don't know.

Actually, I am content wheither I have a SO or not. I refuse to live my life with marriage as the main goal. If I find someone then great, but if I don't then no big deal. I make sure that I live life in such a way that I am happy, regardless of the fact that I may be single or taken.

It's a win-win situation.
