IMHO, in a time when there's WAY too much fabricated teeny-bopper boy-band shite out there, the Foo is one of if not the only popular mainstream bands that actually rocks.

And fuck do they rock!

Yep, they rock. Saw them in Seattle a while back with Weezer. Funny that Grohl has ended up with a highly successful band that is the antithesis of what Kurt Cobain wanted for them. Life is funny like that.

There's a lot of good music out there, I think. Is rock even mainstream anymore? Bands that are famous at our dinner table don't seem to show on too many peeps' radar.

Funny I guess, but if you break it down there's only two path's out of the 'grunge' way of life. Grohl took the path of maturing, and luckily evolved into an even better all-around musician. Cobain took another way.

I dunno about mainstream rock, maybe I should've said 'mainstream music'...As far as rock goes, Joe Satriani finished up his set in Mexico City about an hour ago and I'm gonna be kicking myself for a while that I didn't spend $200 for a plane ticket and tell my boss that I'll be out till tomorrow.

I bet she is. One of my English teachers in high school had a son that played trumpet in the Mothers of Invention. I got to see them twice in high school, and she was there each time. Don't think she was chronic, though. Great, tight band.

My theories, you most likely will not turn the radio station when a LZ song is on.

It most of the time holds true for the Foo as well. I pretty much like all they do.

The Foo is pretty tight with Jack Black. Jack Black/Tenacious D are in a few Foo videos, and if I'm not mistaken Grohl occasionally plays drums for Tenacious D.

Another awesome thing about these guys, they've got a helluva sense of humor and don't take themselves too seriously

First album was incredible, they dipped off a bit in between, but the new album rocks!

They've always had a few good songs on each album, but it's nice to see them produce a rock solid set of songs for the first time in a long time. That being said, I still love the Foo!

All around great band. Grohl has contributed to so many different groups it is rediculous.

Wow!! Saw them this weekend at the ACL festival. Always liked them but now I am a true fan...they put on a hellava show!!

We were lucky enough to get tickets to the taping of the Austin City Limits show of them playing...less than 2 hundred people there and we were in the front row. Amazing performers!! Can't wait now to buy their CD's!!

Can't wait until the taping airs...big party at my house that night!!
