Skydiving Mt. Everest

Recommended Posts

Its been talked about here before. Basically no one has done it yet, as far as I know, and everyone said two things: 1) they'd love to and 2) some reference to Fandango ("hang glide off Mt. Everest, but here's the best part...NEKID!")

Meh.

Gimme enough money and I'll design any one of a number of "adventures" for you. There's really nothing all that earth shattering involved about a skydive from 30,000 ft. It's been done numerous times, just not in that area.

Now, the LANDING at 12.5 . . . I'd like to see that . . . that's going to be interesting.

Dunno if you've really been paying attention, but uh, the US dollar isn't quite what it used to be and, uh, my trust fund seems to be tapped out.

Well, It is just like a jump at Eloy during the heat of the day at 120 degrees +++, only the scenery is different!

"This will be the most important event in the Himalayan adventure since 1953,"

Says who? Oh yeah, the hyperbolic author/sponsor.

Never mind solo ascents without oxygen, overnighting near the summit, some of the unbelievably heroic rescues that have been made. No, this is going to be the most important Everest event since 1953.

Hyperbolic people should have their eyelids glued open and be forced to watch 24 consecutive hours of Geraldo Rivera videos.
