hey, i want to get into that, but just haven't had the money for both. anywho, all i've found are some crappy yahoo board sites. not anywhere near the quality of dropzone, but oh well.

Paraglider here! Almost 50 flights this year. We have a 3600 foot mountain that I can see from my backyard and be at the top in 30min. Longest flight so far is an hour and a half.

If you want air time think about Powered Para Giding.Have done 350 hrs, less than 3 years .No limit to were you can fly (sort of).If your near free flight sites do both ,if not it might be the way to get in the air.
$5.00 an hr. for fuel about 3 to 5 hundred hrs on a motor cage at $5.000 to $6,000 and you can re build it .
Can't give a link to a PPG site they all suck!!!!!!!

or you could come out to Pacifica & get PPA'd by another skydiver. Cost $0.00. You just have to teach another skydiver to paraglide when you are comfortable. Started 2 weeks ago & have 4 hours. Longest flight - 2 hours. Longest distance - 19 miles.

Now that is FREE FLYING but the trip to and from adds a bit to it.Living on the Wright coast and in the flat lands we hang are heads and have to add petro to get in the air.
Hope more skydivers see what paragliding is all about . And you do'nt have to pack.Think about it.

Swoopers are getting into Speed Riding big time in Europe (at least) but they should also be getting into Acro - now THAT's flying.
