Dear Parachutisten Centrum Midden Nederland: My name is Alex. I’m the founder of PeopleJar.com – a free website connecting people in the sport of skydiving and many other fields, a new web application built to connect people as citizens of one planet. On PeopleJar.com, students in the sport can connect with skydiving instructors and other jumpers new to the sport or simply jumping on different days at their dropzone to fun jump with or perhaps create a team. Our sincere goal is to help make these new connections easy.I was a skydiver myself and wanted to personally contact you/your organization with this invitation to create your PeopleJar profile to connect with skydivers and people across the globe with similar interests. We’re reaching out to skydiving communities world-wide to help us spread the word and also increase their online presence. You may have seen our ad on the back cover of the September issue of Parachutist magazine. Also, if you have an advertising program, such as a banner, a link, or a newsletter you can add to your website or anything reaching out to your skydiving audience, please let us know how PeopleJar can be a part of it.

This looks like a facebook spinoff.
But I find it strange the guy not only knew about our DZ but had direct access to my personal email.

Anybody know this Alexander Alexandrov character?

I find it interesting is well.

Are you a USPA member? The USPA claims that they will not sell your email address, only mailing address, when you opt in at renewal time.

They refrence parachutist our national mag, that makes me think that the direct marketing is also some way related to the USPA.

Nope - No USPA over here. We are KNVvL members (the equivalent) - but still.

I'm also curious whether the add was really there.

Gotcha. I know a lot of people outside the US who get USPA memberships while visiting, etc, that is why I thought I would ask.

I haven't recieved this spam email btw.

At least you aren't getting those prerecorded voice mail solicitations that I keep getting at my work number. :P
