BirdWoman 0 #31 August 20, 2008 Hmmm, let's see. I'm known to many as either Feisty or MamaBird. As for students at my dz: Tits McGee, Pinecone, Lucky. One of our jumpers landed in powerlines and now she's called Sparkles. That's my list."I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me
SSHusky 0 #32 August 20, 2008 Seems like in order to get a nickname you have to land in power lines or a tree.. Guess what I'm doing this weekend! I be getting myself a nice nickname! wohooo!
poe62 0 #33 August 20, 2008 That's not completely true. I landed in mud up to my waist on my AFF level 2. I was Mud Girl for a short time. They had to hose me off. ~Nikki http://www.facebook.com/poe62 Irgity Dirgity

gravitysurfer 0 #35 August 20, 2008 We had a "Lucky" too. Guy had something like 7 reserve rides in his first 30 jumps. Scary thing is a couple years later USPA called him 'jumpmaster'.There was also a "Bullet Bob" in Hawaii. I think he earned the moniker solely on the speed by which he dove past base formations.edit: to add BB. aloha.
livendive 8 #36 August 20, 2008 "3 second Bob"...he did static line progression and was afraid of freefall. When he reached 30 some-odd jumps without taking more than a 3 second delay, they said fuck it and started doing CRW with him. I haven't seen him in a few years and wish he'd come back out. Most folks just call me by my last name. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)
airtwardo 7 #37 August 20, 2008 "Hulk" ~ The guy was built like one, and had a green jumpsuit. "Iron-man" ~ THAT guy earned that one because he turned the PLF into an art form, but still always just dusted off and walked away like nothing happened...saw him land on concrete so hard once, he actually broke a leg-strap! "Navy SEAL" ~ Guy got that one because it's about the LAST thing he looked like...he makes FutureDivot look like Mr. America! "Round-Man" ~ Again, another heavyweight ...got the name, not because of the shape of his canopy. "Battle Star" ~ Because docking with him...was like docking with a Battle Star. "Dangerous Dave" ~ Self-explanatory. "Hollywood" ~ If there was a camera around he was in front of it. "Bugsie" ~ He worked for Orkin, had a white jumpsuit with Orkin patches on it. "Big Foot" ~ real name- Marshal Clark, if ya ever saw him ya know why. "B.M." ~ Ex-Army guy that came around now & them...stood for Bullet Magnet. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

My rigger called me "pigpen" last year ..... usually if there was a cloud of dust in the landing area I was in the middle of it - he always use to get out the vacuum cleaner out when he would repack my reserve - had shaken that nickname off up until my injury - I am sure he will have a new one for me next year when I am back to jumping.DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc!
