tkhayes 348 #1 August 25, 2008 I am looking for some hlep with an eviction.... mother-in-law has a house, won the court case to evict the tenants, they will not leave, Sheriff cannot help since all resources ar eont he DNC this week. Tenants are pricks and will probably trash the house so we have $$ to help 'encourage' them to move out. "tenants" who demand "rights" but display NO 'responsibility', and fail to PAY RENT.... deserve little mercy..... the arrogance to remain in the house or apartment, is unjustified... and unwarranted... once it becomes chronic,, it should become criminal..... how about some old time 'wild West justice'??? any gunslingers for hire, out there??? In rental property it helps for the owner ONLY, to have Locked access to the water main.. so that at the Landlords discretion, ( especially when justified by a court ordered eviction) the water to the place can be shut OFF... regardless of who pays the bill...( or doesn't). I you have a court order for them to leave keep calling different departments to see who can show up. Or call a department and tell them you have court papers for them to leave and tell them they are tearin the place up. They have to show up then. Thats a tough spot to be in. It's also too bad that there are hundreds of SWAT people driving around the center of town and they can't help - seems like they could swing by and practice arresting people at your mom's house. What I wouldn't do. I definitely would NOT make an anonymous call from a payphone to the FBI saying they were experimenting with home-made bombs in the backyard. Nor would I make phony Klan flyers with the N-word and "President" on them, and spread a few around in the front yard for effect. Sure, it would be a quick eviction, but that's just an opportunistic abuse of all the additional security in place for the DNC. It would be morally wrong. That's why Sheriffs are bailiffs, jail guards, etc. The Sheriff is usually the agency that works to enforce the judgments of the court. This is true of any county. That means that evicting people is the work of the sheriff, and nobody else. In this case, your mom is probably just gonna have to wait it out... My wife is hotter than your wife. We are trying to cut off the water, but even that is difficult due to state laws, etc. The sheriff says they will get to it (500 evictions each month) but it will take time. She has the direct # for the Sgt working on it, so I suggested she calls every day, twice a day and be polite and I expect she will get some priority. In the meantime, does someone know how to hack a website? This guys is http://www.hishousemedia.com/ he is quite the trip - would be nice and fun to trash it. In FL, once the sheriffs physically remove the bastard from the house, you have to take EVERYTHING in the house and put it on the curb. Everything the dirtbag owns. Pain in the arse. FL law is pretty specific about that and CO is likely the same way. If you fuck with the tenants and don't let the sheriffs do their job, you can really put yourself at risk.
