Words can not explain how much I appreciate Avg Joes and your's time and effort in making me a better skydiver and coach. It's the rating I decided I wanted shortly after I started jumping, but I never thought I was good enough to go try to earn it. And earn it I did. The course was definitely the hardest thing I've done so far in the sport. Very challenging skydives and plenty of opportunities to mindfuck myself - and I did a good job of mindfucking myself for the first couple days. A couple hours after the attached pic was taken I was sitting in the loading area ready to go up with my first "real" AFF student, a Cat A who had just done the FJC. And then we went on wind hold.
