shropshire 0 #1 August 17, 2008 Damn, it may not last long but they are 3rd in the Medal Table - Outstanding work in the Pool, velodrome, rowing, sailing. Becky Ardlington's Gold and World Record came from a stunning race in the 800m freestyle. P.S The BBC coverage has been great too. They've shown a lot of sports in great detail that we don't normally get to see and they've shown a balanced selection of contries too (not concentrating on the home team).... also they aren't interupted by "these messages from our sponsors"!! Which is a LOT more than can be said for NBC's coverage in the US. Full of ads, highly partisan, concentrating on the *major* sports.... I watched BADMITON between gold and silver Chinese women. Exactly. I've been watching a lot of badminton. The women's marathon dominated last night's coverage - and they kept focusing on the brit chick who caught so much hell four years ago. CNBC has had a lot of boxing. I saw soccer between NEtherlands and Argentina and Belgium vs. Italy. It's been lenty of US (highly Phelps inspired) but there's been a good selection. (OF course, here on the West Coast, we have been deemed unworthy of watching it live.) My wife is hotter than your wife.
shropshire 0 #5 August 17, 2008 Are you able to what the BBC coverage on the internet (or possibly,it's only available within the U.K - which is reallt daft because we can see it on the tellie so don't need the P.C - but when we're abroad it would be good to catch up via a P.C - if that babelling makes any sense at all) (.)Y(.) returnofdamac 0 #6 August 17, 2008 nbc has provided coverage of nearly all the sports on nbc olympics .com. It has the sports available as they are being played.Me: I want to ride a bull out of a skyvan. vegasjoe: How the hell are you going to land that thing? Me: Who said anything about landed with it? kbordson 8 #7 August 17, 2008 Team Green Bay? (why not just say Packers?) Team Gold Bond? -I'm going to stomp and argue for use of unauthorized abbreviations. Honestly though! I thought it was a wonderful competition, not too much drama (some, enough to keep the tabloids happy, I'm sure). I hope all the competitors were happy with their performance and enjoyed the experience regardless of the color or metal content of the metal.
