quade 4 #4 August 9, 2008 I've used that piece of iconography for a few years. What I find funny about it is how many people ascribe alternative and incorrect meanings to it. Everything from me being a bad boy biker poser to a follower of Lord Voldemort. It's hilarious. I also use the name "Gadsden" as an alias in games and whatnot and I get the other side of the misinterpretations. It's amazing how many people assume I'm from the city in Alabama or any one of a number of places on the east coast named after the Revolutionary war hero. What I find hilarious about that is the idea that I would name my characters after a city and not the hero. I guess they don't teach history anymore.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
madhatter 0 #5 August 9, 2008 Not being American, I guess I can be excused for not realising the historical connotation to the symbol. I just thought you were a real hardass The story behind the rattlesnake symbolism & the history of Gadsden is really quite inspiring - kudos for showing your pride in your country & history A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! I don't expect anyone outside of the US to understand anything about the US beyond what we serve them up in the way of movies and television. It's the only other thing besides the military that the US still has any real world influence on; even if it is pretty messed up.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
