Dropzone.com Googlewhack Challenge

Recommended Posts

Heya all,

Here's a challenge to everyone out there with too much time to kill. ;)

I will send a free Dropzone.com T-Shirt to the first person who does a Googlewack, using not more than 2 keywords where the result is pointing at a Dropzone.com page.

What's a Googlewack you ask? A Googlewack is when you type a word or a pair of words into Google and it returns a single result. If that result happens to be pointing to Dropzone.com, you've wacked it!

No more than 2 keywords. First person to find it gets a T. Go for it! B|

Heck. . .

All you have to do is type in "dropzone"

It leads you right to dropzone.com. . .

Or you can just type in "Skydiving"

Does it have to be keywords?
If you type in "Dropzone.com" it works.

Sorry, no punctuation. Here are the rules of Googlewacking:

Ok the first winner isn't a winner per the rules of www.googlewhack.com

If we're using the offical rules then neither mine nor "droptoon+tattoo" win.

What are the rules?
Don't use quote marks within your query! Quotes tell Google to find the enclosed words immediately adjacent - and that's just too easy! (No other punctuation either, and no numbers - just 26 letters from A through Z.) As you whack, please respect these simple guidelines:

1. Your two Googlefactors must exist in Google's view of this dictionary. Google does the work, and Google has the final word! In the blue bar atop your Google results, accepted terms are linked to dictionary.com, and so appear 'underlined.' No line, no link = Googlejack! (As in, You've got jack, so see the FAQ :-)

2. Google also is the arbiter of a whack's uniqueness. Look to the right end of the blue bar atop your Google results. If you see "Results 1 - 1 of (any number),' you found exactly one hit = Googlewhack!

3. Google shows you an excerpt of the page you whacked. Look at that text. If it's merely a list of words (such as a bibliography, concordance, encyclopedia, glossary, thesaurus, or dictionary), No Whack For You!

If your Googlefactors don't comply, some other whacker will certainly test them, then expose your treachery to all!

Did a test to see if it held up...

Google Results for droptoon tattoo
You may look up either droptoon or tattoo at Dictionary.com

5 results contain droptoon
9,280,000 results contain tattoo
1 result (from Whack's location) contains droptoon tattoo

Google whacked, but did not link to definitions for both your Googlefactors.

Perhaps one is misspelled; use the links above to check. However, Google does not link to every definition at dictionary.com. Sorry, but without that link you may not add to The Whack Stack.

So depending upon sangiro's inturpertation none of the googlewhacks posted may actually be winners.

i thought each word had to appear as an entry in dictionary.com?

Aaah, that is true. My oversight. He still get's his T though, but I will give another one to the first person to get it with 2 words in dictionary.com. B|

Keep at it!

if you've picked a fairly unique username your the first one on the list..
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&q=Zenister

knowing the limited number of places i've used this one it doesnt suprise me that dropzone.com comes up first...

although apparently its spreading now... there are several on the first page that did not originate with me... someone even bulk registered zenister.com..:S but i'm pretty sure i was the first one to use this name anywhere... i know there were zero hits returned that did not refer to me when i was part of an early quake/duke nukem clan and it was the name i used as a writer for several zines in high school before that...

edit: slappy beat me too it... i'd meant to add the reason for that bit of drivel is that usernames are considered 'cheating'

edit2:nm.. i forgot the 1 result stipulation......
