JohnRich 4 #8 June 22, 2008 Horrible, stupid movie. I wish I hadn't seen it. A group of friends on vacation hike to a Mayan ruin. Once on top they find that some armed Mexicans down below refuse to let them leave, so they're stranded, short on food and water. In addition, the vines overgrowing the ruins are "alive" and will kill you when you sleep. And if that isn't bad enough, small snakes get into your body and crawl around under your skin. There are some horrible mutilation scenes; one, where an amputation is done with crude tools, and another where a girl goes crazy and cuts her own body to pieces, trying to remove the snakes from within.
