You were upscale! You could have had a KAP instead of a Sentinel, capewells instead of R3's, and old combat boots instead of Adidas jump boots. Like with my 1st jump in '78 (see attached photo). My 33rd is about now, but since my first few logbooks took a trip with my rigger's kit many moons ago, I don't know exactly when I made my first jump; just June 1975... At a now-closed Florida DZ, the pilot had one of those little swivel can-holders mounted on the pilot's door, so that he could put his beer in there, and no matter how he climbed, dived, or banked, his beer wouldn't spill.
