snugfit 0 #1 January 27, 2006 Hi, I'm selling a Javelin with an articulated harness and want to be sure I list the correct harness measurement in my ad. The spec sheet that came with the container says "Harness: 18-1" and I'm embarrassed that I don't know how this measurement is determined. It seems that the 18" is the measurement from the base of the 3-ring to the seam of the leg strap, but what is the "-1"? Hmmm... Thanks! riggerrob 643 #2 January 27, 2006 Try phoning the Javelin factory, but I suspect that the "-1" refers to a shorter than normal lower lateral strap: the strap that connects your hip to the lower corner of the container. It is also important to note the size of the yoke. The data panel should read something like: "C18." This means a "C" sized shoulder yoke for a guy with medium-sized shoulders. D yokes are for guys with huge, muscular shoulders. B and C yokes are for most, average-sized guys. A and O yokes are for the ladies.
