Why is it that kids

We called the officer who we have been dealing with and he suggested to file a report about this incident and he will take it to the DA with the other report about the bus incident.

It is absolutely essential that you do that.
The court system needs to know that he is continuing the threatening behavior.

This kid, and his support network, are playing the system. You must have documentation of instances of this type, so that you can win in the legal system.

When you get to court, he'll say that it never occurred unless the documentation exists.

Have the officer talk to his guardians and explain that he, or his friends, are not to come within 200ft of the house.

This gives your SO and you some protection also.
If the kid escalates things, you will have it documented that he has repeatedly exhibited threatening behavior. It provides a legal avenue for you to physically defend yourself if necessary.

Yep, the police sargent swung by the house with the paper work to fill out. He said he would be back to pick it up and I told him that I would personally deliver it to the schools resource officer tomorrow morning.

I mean for the kid to be even allowed out of the house and not be grounded for life...its obvious that the Grandmother has no control over this kid. Sad really.

Honestly, most parents and guardians are in denial. They simply refuse to believe that their flesh and blood can be anything but perfect. They will back the child even though the child sits there and is as rude to them as they are to you. These kids have no respect for authority nor do they have any home training simply because the people responsible just don't want to be bothered.

I'm all for legalizing abortion if it will reduce the number of future thugs of America. FTAs are what will be the parents of the future....scary.

Anyone know of a deserted island I can buy???? Some things I just really don't even want to be around for.:(

Oh - LISA -

If there was a way to GUARANTEE that . . . I can see your point . . . but GUARANTEE that it wouldn't and couldn't be the one that leads our world to peace and prosperity and I'm all for it!:)

I KNOW, I KNOW...just really sick of thuggy children that nobody gives a shit about. Even sicker or being blamed by the system for not providing the guidance they need. Geez, you can't teach everything in 6 hours. Some of this really should be the parents responsibility.

Don't look at me...I'm just the idiot that they are trying to hold accountable for these misguided children and their actions. :S[:/]B|

I don't think this Grandmother is blind to this boys actions. The mother is a crack addict, father is in jail, and there is no Grandfather. The older brother who is twenty something is just as rotten. The Grandmother is old and tired and waaay out of her league. She needs help in raising this child.

And neither of these boys should be the grandmother's responsibility.

See what I mean Turtle>:(

I do.

What I am AGGRESSIVELY agreeing with you with is that SOMEONE besides the school should be held responsible.

Here, if the kid gets in trouble, so do the parents.

I LIKE THAT SYSTEM!:)

There's a law here that if a kid misses too many days of school in a certain time frame without any valid reasons, the parents get ARRESTED. :S

The little dipshit SkydiveStMary's talking about, that's a tough call. He needs an asswhupping. What the hell happened to the parents of the 60's and 70's??? Parents these days are fucking pussies.... Back when I was growing up, a simple cuss word in defiance got myself a bitch-slapping by my parents, sometimes dad would get the homemade wooden paddle out and paddle my ass raw. Sure straightened me out as far as respecting my elders.

Well his parents aren't in the picture. Its the story of Grandparents raising the grandkids. This kids grandmother is waaaay out of her league. I spoke to the principal about her and this kids situation and he basically told me that the grandmother has no clue as to how to handle this kid. She can't meet his emotional needs, physical needs, or mental needs. The kids parents are..Mom, is a drug addict, and his father is in jail. Older brother was alot like his younger brother and has since tried to straighten out his life. The older brother works for the city and now has a baby. The older brother confronted my SO this afternoon and aaked my SO if he had a problem with his little brother. My SO said nothing that the police can't handle. My SO said that the brother sounded somewhat aggressive but after my SO's reply the older brother dropped the conversation. I am guessing because if he did push the matter he could potentially loose his city job.
I just don't get why this family thinks its everyone and isn't looking at the kid. I know my son isn't a saint, and I would back him IF he wasn't in the wrong, but the evidence is there. The kid is on tape and there are three witnesses that state that this kid wailed on my son. Thisa kid was yet again, outside at a friends house. If my kid was suspended from school he would be grounded for a very long time and wouldn't see the light of day until he returned back to school.
I just don't get it.

Well just got the "official" paper work from the court system for this issue. Both boys are charged. One is charged with simple battery and the other is charged with battery. Anyone know the difference? Glad to see that the issue hasn't been pushed under the carpet. Oh and there is a question on the paper work as to whether I want to dismiss the case....ummmmm....NO.

I hate to say it, but this won't stop until your son just gets down and beats this kid's ass. Then, it will stop immediately and permanently.

Middle school boys don't fight for fun. They fight to establish a pecking order. The fact that this 16 year old kid is trying to prove dominance over a 12 year old means that he's already at the absolute bottom of the 16 year olds, and the 15 year olds, and the 14 year olds, and there's probably a 13 year old that kicked his worthless ass too. If your son had simply busted him in the chops, he'd go find an 11 year old to bother.

Going to the law instead puts the kid in the pecking order above your son. That's NOT where you want him to be.

Win, lose, or draw, a clean, public fight ends these things. Permanently.
