bloody_trauma 2 #1 May 29, 2008 Ho Lee Crap... that was the most scathing hour of my entire life. This felt different than my emt exam... some how more confusing. I'm unsure if i passed. I fel like i did, the test ranges from 85 to 205 questions and determines competency and is adaptive ( gives harder questions as you answer correctly, easier as you answer incorrectly) mine shut of at 85 questions and i felt like the questions were crazy difficult. to my credit they say that you can fail at 85 questions, but i can't find one single instance of this happening, and to that, it seems that it would be cray for the computer to sut you off even if you answered 85 in a row wrong. it would stil be able to assess competency after those 85 wrong. ehh, i'm sure i passed, i ain't no fool I'll know in a couple of days if i passed, but crap why they gotta mess with my head that way!Fly it like you stole it

kbordson 8 #3 May 29, 2008 Yup... that's how you feel after that test. I took the Nursing Exam in 1993 (yes... I might have taken it a few years back... ) You leave feeling dazed and confused. But... I'm sure you did fine. Just wait for the results and the PARTY!
bloody_trauma 2 #4 May 30, 2008 sheeot i'm already partying... messed up thing is the army still considers me to be in student status, so even when we go do transition to practice i can't practice alone, I think thats why its called practice Fly it like you stole it
longtall 0 #5 May 30, 2008 But its DONE , DONE , DONE ! Arent ya glad you dont have to do that every 2 years or so. Whew ! I took mine back in the 70'S at the Baltimore civic center under the same roof that I cheered as Jimmy Page was grinding his ax at the Zep concert just a few years earlier. Man what a test ! Im still celebrating passing the damn test. Congratulations !" 90 right, five miles then cut."---Pukin Buzzards
popsjumper 2 #6 May 30, 2008 Just out of curiosity...does the exam include anything to do with <> rubber gloves? Another thought....If you missed 85 in a row, wouldn't that pretty much define competency? My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. bloody_trauma 2 #7 May 30, 2008 no, i mean theres still 120 questions left to answerafter missing those 85, the test still has room to determine competency,Fly it like you stole it
Broke 0 #8 May 30, 2008 Does the nursing exam have retardedly worded questions that are repeated over and over?Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192
bloody_trauma 2 #9 May 31, 2008 umm dunno bout retarded, but, they are worded in a nursing format i guess? the answers were what got me more than the questions, like that wouldnt put an obvious choice for a disease process, they would put some other things that you might see.Fly it like you stole it
woady 0 #10 May 31, 2008 I took the adaptive test for my EMT and it cut me off after 80 questions. I'm not filling your head with false hope when I say I know you did fine. The adaptive test isn't busting your balls to see if your an A or a B student, they simply test to see if you meet the "minimum standard". Like you said 205 questions. If you were even border-line to minimum standard you definitely would have been asked 120+ questions. So Congratulations. You know what's similar between Cops and Firefighters? They both wanna be firefighters.

ryan_d_sucks 0 #12 May 31, 2008 I assume you're talking about the NCLEX right? I'll be doing that 1 year from right now.. Maybe you'll find this youtube video amusing-- I did. Maybe the army educates differently (I hope so). Does the NCLEX have any exam questions like the one in this video? http://youtube.com/watch?v=wxhK1kK7__E
popsjumper 2 #13 May 31, 2008 I went to the wrong school. 205 questions, blow 85 and still pass with a 59 percent score. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. UDSkyJunkie 0 #16 May 31, 2008 Good luck... I feel your pain (well, almost) as I just took the NREMT exam, and that was bad enough. I'm a good test-taker, aced the class, and have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, cum laude... didn't matter... the NREMT was the hardest, most confusing exam I've ever taken (I passed, cut off after 70ish questions). If the nursing exam is anything like it, and I'm sure it is, it's not an issue of knowing the material so much as being able to deal with really shitty vauge questions that could have 2 or more right answers or no right answers."Some people follow their dreams, others hunt them down and beat them mercilessly into submission."
