SDC Etiquette/Advice

Just start talking to people, I spent the entire Memorial day weekend there with my daughter and thought she would be bored out of her mind. She had a great time and so did i. I have been to 9 DZ's and this place is definitely the best. No worries. Val and Sunshine can show you the ropes, uuuhhh they may tie you up for awhile, just breath slow and the correct answer to any question is" thank you ma'am may i have another".

I was wondering what that rack with those ropes in the hangar was for...and to think the TM told me it was for working on my arch...huh... :P

Good luck! I hear the the weather is supposed to be awesome this weekend. It is always good to know where everyone's DZ is. I have been trying to figure that out for a while, but that probably because I am not as involved as others:(
If I wasn't so poor right now, I would come jump and party with you!

Carpe Diem!

You know, I hear gas stations have a decent amount of cash on hand...especially with the gas prices these days.

Um...I didn't say that...

:D:D That is great!!!!! :D:D

Etiquette????? At a DZ??? I can think of only one thing. Please do not park your trailer or pitch your tent on someone's "lawn" without their permission. We've got a huge campground, so there is no reason to crowd anyone!

Last year at summerfest i found someone plugged into my electrical box for my trailer. Pissed me off since i'm the one that pays the freakin monthly fee!!

We've had issues with tents and trailers over the years, not to mention cars blocking our "driveway"!
Not really the best way to make "friends" at a new dz! It might sound kind of petty, but the rent there isn't cheap and most of us really try to keep our places looking nice.

1. Unplug
2. Cut cord
3. Problem solved

I'm under the impression that a lot of other places are more casual and maybe just pulling up and plugging in (or pitching a tent) is a more common practice at other dzs. But its different at SDC. Its a large campground, pretty nice and we all have assigned slots for which we pay rent every month. Anyway, I personally would not just unplug or cut someone's cord without talking to them first just in case it was an innocent misunderstanding!

In fact, I believe your daughter spend the day sat. there with my daughter. Thank you! It was the 1st time she had a playmate! And the 1st time she wasn't bored either!;)

disclaimer: if your daughter picked up any bad habits from my daughter that day..........;)blame her father!

Yeah i don't think most people realize they can't just go hook up wherever they want - they need to actually reserve a slot from manifest.

I wasn't there long enough to catch the campgrounds, but I was just figuring I'd bring a blanket and crash on the grass next to the river. That's cool, right? :P

I'd be happy to give you a tour of the campground. Oh, and i know the most comfortable yard to pass out in too (discovered that one 2 weeks ago)....:D:D

Comfortable yard to pass out in?!?!? There's a catch, right? The owner has a shotgun at the ready in a treestand? Pitbulls? Crabgrass?

Nice facility, welcoming people, yards to pass out in...where have y'all been my whole life?

Dude...I've only been there a few times - but have nothing but great things to say about SDC. :)

The 1 thing I'm still trying to figure out is who's trailer i slept in that 1 time... :)

No catch. The grass was more comfortable than the beer-soaked couch!
