I agree.
I like the machismo :P

AND if she was really unsure of how her SO would feel, she could have asked him since it was a "non-date." Why would a "non-date" spark a breakup if there was some communication? Unless she was unsure. . . I also agree that the "instigator" is not really a very good friend, and that is more often the case than not. Trust no one!
