Thanatos340 1 #251 May 7, 2008 Here we go again!! Tonight’s reviews.. Bad Hair Emo Boy (David Cook) - First Song - Hungry like the Wolf.. Not up to his usual standard at all.. However I think it was almost as much the Sound Mixers fault as DC`s fault. I could not hear the Music at all and wonder if was mixed any better there. (not so) Forgettable Black Chick (Syesha) - I have officially renamed her as she has really come a long way in the past few weeks. Proud Mary - She showed once again that she can be a Performer. I liked it. Love the Dancing. Nappy Headed Dread Boy (Jason Castro) - I shot the sheriff - Nothing more to say about that performance other than you just showed exactly why a Suburban middle class White Boy should NEVER touch Marley. Now go home and shave those dreads as you have no right to wear them after what you just did to that song. Sick. Just plain sick. I have been saying all season I would love to hear Jason try Redemption song. That one he may have been able to pull another Hallelujah performance on.. Much more his pace.. Trying I shot the Sherriff should have just put him out of the competition. Smiley Lip Licker Kid - I really do not like this kid and he usually annoys me completely when he is on stage... Tonight I have to give props. The kid nailed it. Song 2: Bad Hair Emo Boy - Baba O'Riley. Nailed it. Showed exactly why he should be the Winner. Syesha - Loved that Dress (and the bonus Boobage of course). Again, Solid performance. I think she still wants to prove herself as a Power Singer which she really isn’t but if would focus more on her ability to work a stage she could do better. Nappy Headed Dread Boy - Mr Tambourine Man - Better but forgot the words.. Bye Bye. Go back to Aggieland and buy 100 cases of condoms, Put a "Take a number" thing outside the door, Smother yourself in coeds for the next few months and forget tonight ever happened. Smiley Kid - Again did a good job. Still dont think he is Pop Star material but he was the best tonight.
murrays 0 #252 May 7, 2008 I was at my son's baseball game tonight and missed both shows so thanks for the reviews....if talent and performances are what really matter it sounds like Jason will be gone tomorrow. RkyMtnHigh 0 #253 May 7, 2008 I agree with your overview of the performances tonight. IMO, they all seemed exhausted and just "out of steam", especially David Cook and Jason Castro. I think Jason will be gone tomorrow. _________________________________________
hooked 0 #254 May 7, 2008 David Cook really did well with Baba O'Reilly. He did seem down tonight, and I'm wondering if maybe his brother is not doing well and he's worried about him. Sad to say it will probably be Jason going home, but I think he's ready. I do really like his singing style, so I hope he does record something. David A............I just don't like him. I hate watching him sing, and he's so 'breathy' that it's annoying but at least he's not licking his lips anymore. I just don't see him as an 'Idol'. Syesha turned the tears on tonight and everyone 'gushed' all over her..........sympathy vote. -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. ltdiver 3 #255 May 7, 2008 Missed the show tonight, but that's okay. I'll catch it on Youtube tomorrow sometime. For those of you who know Dave Span from Square One at Perris...He and Kellie Middleton just tied the knot tonight. Attended the wedding and that was much more enjoyable than sitting through another airing of Idol. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

He is the show's 'Chosen One', David Archuleta. rehmwa 2 #258 May 7, 2008 1st - young kid. pretty surprising - still expect Disney to snatch him up for full voice theme song stuff. He did really well. 2 for 2. he can sing, and I don't really like him that much, but objectively he did a great job Close second - gorgeous black woman. wow. 2 for 2 and she can perform as well as sing - she gets better and better - now my new favorite Far third - big forehead guy (is that some kind of medical condition?) - shame on him, he's better than that - really lousy. 2nd song 'almost' got something going for a couple seconds and then lost that too. Too bad, he was my favorite from the two full shows I've seen. Now, maybe just barely above the kid distant loser - pasty dread lock guy - much lousier, sucked completely both times. I think he 'tried' to 'perform' and just really tanked it worse. Should stick to sitting at the campfire singing ballads only. But I haven't yet heard anything I like from him. 0 for 6 where'd the Irish girl go? she had the best vocals all along crap, now I'm watching this nonsense ... AnKaLi 0 #259 May 7, 2008 David Cook - he should win. His first song was a silly choice, but he blew us away with his second choice. He'll probably lose to the other David, such a shame. Syesha - She's a great performer, not top notch vocals, but I love her.! Jason - WTF. I love this kid, but seriously, are you joking? Terrible. Made me mad. Out of all the Marley songs you choose that, and then butcher it? I think he's just done with the show, I imagine they run you ragged. His middle performances this season were the best, I agree, I hope he records soon, I love his voice. David A - 2nd song was great, still can't stand this kid though. Randy needs to pull his head out of his ass, Stand By Me was on par with Sweet Caroline last week, good job butchering a great song. PS- has anyone seen anything with that Clay Aiken character lately? Seriously, WTF is wrong with that goofy lookin guy? He creeps me out.

I couldnt agree more, he's awesome! Not bad to look at either... Quote Syesha - She's a great performer, not top notch vocals, but I love her.! again, I agree, she is awesome and has really come a long way, I think the winner should be between David C & Syesha. He is very easy on the eyes and I love his dreads, however he has made it known to the media that he is ready to go home and last night his performance showed it. I think tonight we will be saying bye bye to Jason Quote David A - 2nd song was great, still can't stand this kid though. I cant stand him either, just watching him and all the ridiculous faces he makes and the big fake ass lack of common sense smile that he always has drives me up a flippen wall..., who gives a damn if he can sing, if he makes you wanna throw up in your mouth from watching him? Very nice on the eyes...his studio performances are pretty awesome too, I actually put 2 of them on my ipod LOL but he's lost the spark he had, I wonder if he'll be the one to go home though...because of fans....
 hooked 0 #263 May 7, 2008 I have all his studio recordings, he sounds really good. I think he is ready to go home, he's tired of being kicked around the last few weeks. Never has Idol had a contestant quite like Jason Castro and I love it. They just don't know what to do with him and they've tried very hard to get rid of him.
 NoShitThereIWas 0 #265 May 7, 2008 Once again, a great post causing me to LMAO. Well, Syesha got my vote last night with that Tina Turner Song (isn't it Tina or Ike or something ?) Anyhow, she was rolling. I was kind of disappointed with Jason because he used to be my favorite. He just seems like a super mellow 4:20 kind of dude who would be cool to hang out with. I can see why the young girls are Goo Goo over him and plus he is a Texas boy and that is always a plus in my book! David Cook sucked in my opinion last night. His second song was a wanna be comeback but he just didn't do it for me and there is something about him that seems fake and arrogant to me that I can't quite put my finger on. Plus, I thought "Hungry Like the Wolf" was a terrible music choice for him. Even though he does have a good rock star voice, he doesn't come close to Duran Duran in that song. David Archuletta really impressed me with Stand By Me... Before he started singing it I was like OMG here we go with the corny boring song but I thought he actually did a very bangout job with it. I didn't watch all of Love Me Tender but he has most of that audience melted and wrapped around his finger I think. The kid does have talent. After the judges reactions and the performances, I don't think that the whole 16 year old female population will be able to save Jason another week. It will be sad to see him go because he is so unique and just looks like a pretty cool dude. I do agree with Thanatos though about buying the bulk condoms, hanging a sign out, etc. That was hilarious. I would have liked to see Jason Castro get down and even dance a little bit to an old 70's John Travolta or BeeGees song and break out a little bit from that dumb stoned look strumming a guitar. Marley was definitely not a good choice. Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
