I think it is in some ways but it's a double edged sword. Good looking people have their problems in life like everyone else but they probably don't get the support as their problems might not be as obvious.

My opinion:

Yes, life is somewhat easier if you are beautiful. People give you more and pay attention.
Yes, life is also somewhat easier if you are smart. People respect you and pay attention.

But the most successful people are the ones that don't choose the easy path. The ones that work hard, give 100%, and don't quit will go the furthest from their starting point. Life is not easier for them, but they make more of a difference than anyone who relies on beauty and/or brains alone.

My entire life, I hated being thin. I wanted those curves the pretty girls had. I was in pain but hid it.
Skinny girls get just as many shit comments as larger women.

I'm ok with it now. I'm not sagging at my ripe, old age.

When the colleague expressed his disgust, House went on to elaborate that she could have chosen an easy career by trading on her appearance, but instead chose medicine where it was of no advantage. That showed that she was dedicated to medicine.

the only pretty people who get made fun of are the dumb ones...and they just don't get the joke so their feelings aren't hurt.

I think subconsciously people assume attractive people have it easier simply by what they see on the surface. The root of it is a jealousy/envy thing.

the stigma "pretty people" have is that they are dumb. and if Ignorance is bliss that makes them happier.

stupidity helps people smile.
Remember that next time someone smiles at you.
Its not a nice way of saying hello it's a way for someone to tell you that you make them feel stupid by being so close to them.

Everyone has pests, just different kinds in different places. They're all a royal pain and require attention.

Few people have beautiful green grass and no pests.
