Ol' Furgeson (sp?) is a truck-driver and Perris-ite, he may be able to swing by LAX and give you a lift on one of his routes... he's easily recognizable... look up "Dirty Old Man" in the dictionary and there will be a photo of him there... Nightingale 0 #3 April 23, 2008 If you're really stuck here's how to get to Perris from LAX via public transportation. 1. take the shuttle from the airport to the Green line. 2. Take the Green Line to the Norwalk Metrolink station 3. Take Metrolink to Downtown Riverside 4. Take Metro 22 bus from the train station to Perris. The bus drops off in Perris, at the corner of 4th and Wilkerson, which is about five blocks from the DZ, and get someone to pick you up there. The entire trip should cost you less than $15. I think the second idea is great but a big hassle after a 10 hour flight and 2 suitcases rig etc to lug about but 15 bucks aint much to grumble about....the shuttle bus is $93!!! ouch! Even $93 isn't bad when you consider how much it could cost you just buying the beer for most skydivers. Hell, I might even fly out and rent a car for that, and maybe a lift ticket. If you are there for the camps probably the most common problem I have seen is fall rate. You MUST be able to match fall rate and be stopped all the way in your slot BEFORE taking grips.
