murrays 0 #26 April 21, 2008 Quote Jeff Beck - Lots of Jeff Beck lately, been catching up on a few decades of his work Me too. I have never really been into him until I got the CrossRoads 07 DVD, and bam, he is the greatest. What a great band he had for that show. I went about bought a few of his older CD's, but nothing is as good as the live 1971 CD............I cannot recall the name but it just simply rocks and it is all live with the mistakes and all! Well, not a lot of mistakes, but it really jams! If the name of that CD comes to you, please shoot me a PM. I'd be interested in checking it out if I can find it somewhere. lawrocket 3 #28 April 25, 2008 Plenty of mine have been mentioned, but a band whom I have always loved and whose sheer genius is vastly underappreciated is Ian Dury and the Blockheads. A couple of years ago, I heard "Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick" for the first time in eons. "Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll" is another classic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBLeVcP_JQg The band was a great band. Dury was the most creative fucking lyricist out there, as well. I'd count his pairing with Chaz Jankle as a genius blend. My wife is hotter than your wife.
