flygirl1 0 #1 April 20, 2008 Brian and I adopted him from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley yesterday and they dropped him off today. His name is Chewy now but, Brian and I are going to change it. He is a 6 month old pit bull mix and is the sweetest dog ever. He fits right in with Brian and I because he broke his leg at the same time we did and had to have a pin put in too. He still limps a little but they said he should heal fully. He is at the same point in his recovery as me so we can do rehab together:-P I love him already:-)Fly like a girl
NWFlyer 2 #2 April 20, 2008 Awww.... he's a cutie. How do the cats like him so far? "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. I was thinking about naming him Lucky but, I already have 2 friends with dogs named lucky. So it might get kind of confusingFly like a girl
iambeav2 0 #10 April 21, 2008 Yeah, we had a boogie one time and a bunch of out of towners brought their dogs and like 4-5 were named lucky for some reason or another, and when they'd call "Lucky" they'd be bombarded w/ canine affection!!! ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you! brianfry713 0 #13 April 21, 2008 He is a very friendly dog and likes siting on my lap, despite the fact that he's 28 lbs. He needs a name soon. I think it should be aviation related, I've already suggested hundreds of them.BASE 1224, Senior Parachute Rigger, CPL ASEL IA, AGI, IGI USPA Coach & UPT Tandem Instructor, PRO, Altimaster Field Support Representative

flygirl1 0 #18 April 22, 2008 Quote Quote Good for you for rescuing and not buying! He's adorable! Thanks everybody. I feel so lucky to have found him. He is really smart. It only takes him a few minutes to learn new tricks. Since he was in a crate healing from his femur surgery for most of his puppy months he only knew some basic commands like sit and down. In only a few days he learned to walk nicely on a leash, stay, off, drop it, leave it, wait and not rush through doors until invited and to lie down and crawl forward on the ground. He's almost got come, roll over, and shake too. He is a great dog! I think he feels really lucky to be out of "jail" He wants to be near us so bad he will leave his food in the kitchen to come sit by us on the couchFly like a girl

If I could find a good partnership I'd like the 182 also....but may settle for 100% of a Champ.Thanks...
