this actually happened!

Recommended Posts

a conductor for trains that several times signaled the engineer it was OK to go and ended up killing passengers trying to board.

Since it happened several times on the last time he was charged with murder since they figured it had to be intentional.

He was found guilty and sentanced to death in the electric chair.

The fateful day came and he was wired into the chair and they zapped him. Nothing happened, he just sat there with a smile on his face, after three tries at ever increased voltage, current, and time, the results were the same.

A judge decided fate was in play and pardoned him, later the press asked him if he knew how he had survived...

He said, well I guess I am just not a very good conductor Smile

since i know someone who got zapped in an 8 kV switchgear this morning - this joke is pretty lame

Is he/she ok? [:/]

he is alive, was flown from Parris Island to the burn center in Augusta Georgia, time will tell
Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

ouch, i'll pray for his recovery. good thing he is alive! I'm not sure what the voltage , but i heard of a guy couple weeks ago that was trying to steal copper wire from a ground vault. all the found was parts of his body :S

yep, electricity in an UG vault will be fairly high voltage, ours is generally 23 kV, basically an industrial size bug zapper, we have a real problem with nuts trying to steal copper

most interesting story were 2 guys in a transmission substation - one was on top of a stepdown transformer - decided to pee - pee hit a live conductor - he is not a live conductor anymore - other guy ran away

Wishing him a speedy recovery. I'm sorry to hear about it.

When I was around 18, I worked in a pumping station that had a 22kv line coming into the substation outside. The station was 6 electric pumps, the largest were 2400v 20,000 gal/min.

When it was lightning outside, everyone feared the pump room. You could hear the air crackle during a storm.
