murrays 0 #1 April 5, 2008 I just came back from watching Shine A Light, Scorcese's new Stones film of their two concerts at the Beacon Street Theatre in New York. LOVED it! But then, I'm an old Stones fan. I'd say that if you don't know anything about the Stones it would be a great history lesson. It rocked hard, was hilarious at times and Scorcese's use of old footage and interviews was excellent. Champagne and Reefer with Buddy Guy is worth the price of admission! For me, the only thing I wished it had was Gimme Shelter.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

I think the big screen and sound system is worth going to a theatre for.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

Scorsese is my favorite director and the Stones have been one of my favorite bands since I was a kid...will definitely check this out soon. It is only playing here for a week. marcandalysse 0 #7 April 13, 2008 Just saw it at the local IMAX. WOW! So much high energy and it is clear how much they enjoy playing together...Keith's head 4 stories tall-- you can almost fall into the creases in his faceand what a sound system that IMAX has! Between this movie and the recent U2/3D we have really enjoyed the IMAX experience.
