the last few days i've had a strong desire to unpack my rig and repack it just for the hell of it. is this wierd?

Unless you have reason to worry about the pack job or realized that you need to inspect. Most likely though, you're just weird. But, if the packing urge hits you often, look me up at the DZ

Only in the way that doing any completely unnecessary work is weird, which is to say, yes, it's freekin' weird as hell.

I suppose after you pack your rig a couple hundred times you'll figure out just how warped a concept it is. Until then . . . uh . . . have fun.

I don't think so. I haven't jumped in a while either and I repack my rig almost daily. Just for the hell of it. :)
