ernokaikkonen 0 #76 November 20, 2002 I'm not sure those are real people. They could be some sorta webcrawlers for search engines or something. Remember the forums are now open for the search engines to index. Or it could be that the number of lurkers here grows exponentially. I bet Sangiro could easily set the record straight by checking the IP's of the lurkers; if there are a few dozen coming from the same IP, they're probably bots. Not that I know anything about such things, just guessing here...
indyz 1 #77 November 20, 2002 Ditto with the bot theory. Notice that 15 minutes later the number of guests has dropped to 8. Most bots just ignore cookies. Since the forums use cookies to track usesrs (even guests), I would guess each bot access is counted as a new guest.
sangiro 25 #78 November 20, 2002 Yup - it went up to around 950 guests a short while ago. I suspect Google just went through here. Safe swoops Sangiro
NWFlyer 2 #79 March 4, 2008 Quote Once again, its proven that I post a lot, but its staggering that no matter how much I post, unless Clay looses both his arms and can't learn to type with his toes, I'll probably never catch up with him. You sure about that Dave? You forgot one way that you might catch up ... Yes, I'm thread necromancing, and this one has some gems in it. 1500 posts a day!!!!"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
