Conundrum 1 #37 February 29, 2008 Quote Quote Quote Sorry, I disagree.. I love to read and if I read something that I don’t agree with then I just skim through it or comment accordingly but I don’t ask someone to stop expressing themselves. Hearing/stating opinions or BS is a fundamental freedom that we should all have. These forums are fun for skydivers and like any group of people each person has their own personality good and bad, when these personalities are put together as a whole it gives the group character. If you can’t take the heat get out of kitchen or in the case of DZ.com shut your mouth or you’ll get banned. Freedom of speech has been censored again... For Americans, someone thought it was important to limit what a government could do why an how do you think that all came about? Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. So the 12 other whining threads don't provide you with an adequate forum for your thoughts? I guess you skimmed through my post where I suggested that the whining could be kept outside of this thread. As for the free speech aspect, first of all, this is not a government regulated web site. Nor is it even owned by an American. So, as has been said numerous times before, and much better I might add, you don't have any "rights" if you choose to post on here. You go by the rules of the house or you don't get to stay in this house. The mere fact that the whining threads have not been deleted should be sufficient to qwell your fears of oppression by the big bad Moderators. Oh, and you apparently skimmed this part as well: Quote However, if I were to become repeatedly upset over decisions being made, knowing that bitching about it would not change anything, I think I'd just take my happy ass elsewhere. You mean like the whining you are doing about the whining that you don't want in your no whining thread or did you mean that only you can whine about the people that don't agree with you and does that mean the the people that do agree with you can whine in this thread too. I'm ok with the direction the bonfire is going, I guess. I just wish someone would let us know to what level it is going to be sanitized. I also wish someone would own up to why it is. It has nothing to do with making all of you non whiners more comfortable here. It's about advertisers and I hope he was not counting on the hit count from the bonfire to maintain all of the flashy new advertisers because the bonfire is going down the tubes. There is no entertainment here at all. Oh and I didn't miss the part about no whining,I was just following your lead. Don't you love that? People whinning about people whinning. Sebazz1 2 #38 February 29, 2008 I think that it was beggining to be increasingly difficult to seperate posts I was interested in versus not intereted in. A small group of loud posters were imposing their voice on each and every post to the point that this small group was invading everything. I think the crack down by HH was to tone down the disgusting posts and also to also bring to the attention to this small group of posters or agitators what the rest thought. This forum is supposed to belong to evryone and not just a small loud group of folks... That being said, I have the utmost respect for Sangiro and for all of the current and past moderators and I think evryone has and continues to do a pretty effin damn good job... Happy Friday...Peace, -Seb

Muenkel 0 #43 February 29, 2008 I agree Yvonne. Reading HH's thread, I had to ask myself if it pertained to me. Then I thought, if I had to ask myself; it probably did to some degree. The result has been that I have censored myself. No one is censoring me, I'm a big enough boy to know how to do it myself. _________________________________________ Chris

NWFlyer 2 #48 February 29, 2008 Quote So we all agree the bonfire is a better place without Remster now correct? Well, even though he's not green, they still let him post for some reason.I actually think it's not as much fun because it's not as much fun to make fun of him anymore now that he's not a moderator."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
